Easy and satisfying to make yet elegant, the Cuff Top is our most loved pattern and almost addictive to make. It has a roomy fit and cap sleeves with wide elastic cuffs.

The smaller size range is straight and features a boat neck and the larger size range is more curved under arm and features a bust dart and a keyhole opening with a button at back.

Model in blue and green top is 170 cm tall and wearing a size S, model in white top is 165 cm and wearing a size 2XL.

Compare your body measurements with The Assembly Line's SIZE GUIDE. The Cuff top is a boxy, wide model which makes it an easy fit. Even though there are differences between the size ranges, XS-L has a straight shape and XL-4XL are more curved under arm and has a bust dart, your chest measurement is sufficient for sizing.

Suggested fabrics are light to medium light weight fabrics such as cotton, silk, lawn, linen, crepe de chine or wool crepe.

The green Cuff top is sewn in a cotton plain weave from The Draper's Daughter.

0.3 m interfacing
1 sew-in button for size XL-4XL

MAKE MORE WITH THIS PATTERN

Skip the front and back seam, put the pattern against fold (no seam allowance)

Add piping to the mid front and/or back seam

Use contrasting colour for the topstitching

Experiment with different elastic width
